Golf, Greenkeeping and Gardens
Welcome to Woodcote Park, our clubhouse set in 350 acres of Surrey countryside in the Epsom Downs. The tree-lined grounds are home to two 18-hole golf courses – the historic Old Course and the Coronation Course.
Back in 1940, a Hawker Hurricane made a forced landing at Woodcote Park and its pilot received medical assistance in the clubhouse, having first proved his nationality by waving a packet of Player’s cigarettes at golfers in the vicinity. Today, our superb multinational team maintains the courses, gardens and public spaces in an inspired, environmentally sustainable plan that ranges from course architecture and woodland management to the reintroduction of our own beehives.
The golf team typifies what makes the Club such a special place to work. You could start out working in the Pro Shop, taking green fees or assisting at the driving range, and progress through PGA training to offering members all-weather lessons on the indoor simulator.
