Dogs at Woodcote Park

You are welcome to bring your dog to Woodcote Park but please ensure you are considerate of other members and their guests who may not be so fond of canine company.

Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times (a standard length lead, not one which allows them to roam) wherever they are on the estate.

It is, of course, essential that you clean up after your dog and any waste should be taken home or disposed of in the designated dog-waste bins which are provided in the areas where dogs are allowed.

Where dogs are permitted

  • In the woodland between the clubhouse and the Walled Garden.
  • Along the Captain’s Drive.
  • Along the Downs Trail.
  • At the Halfway Houses on the golf courses.
  • In the designated area on the Fountain Terrace.
  • In the bar area of the Fountain Brasserie.

When moving between these areas and the car parks please use the paths around the buildings and Cedar Lawn. Please do not take your dog indoors or across the Cedar Lawn, the golf course or any terraces where food is served (other than to sit on the Fountain Terrace or to enter the Fountain Brasserie).

Fountain Brasserie

Your dog may accompany you in the bar area of the Fountain Brasserie provided you have booked in advance and have stated when you made the reservation that you will be accompanied by a dog. You may bring a maximum of two dogs and they must be at least six months old, well behaved and weigh less than 30kg.

Entry to the Fountain Brasserie with a dog is only via the entrance from the terrace.

Staying at Woodcote Park with your dog

We have two double rooms where dogs may stay with you. To book one of these rooms please contact the Central Reservations Team (reserve@royalautomobileclub.co.uk or 020 7747 3474). Please note you will be unable to book these rooms online.

Up to two dogs may stay with you, at a cost of £25.00 per dog per night. The dogs must be at least six months old, well behaved and weigh less than 30kg.

Dogs may not be walked through the clubhouse other than from reception up to your bedroom.

These rooms are extra-thoroughly cleaned after a dog has visited them but if you particularly wish to avoid these rooms when staying please let the reservations team know when you book your accommodation.

Assistance dogs

Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are (under the Equality Act 2010) welcome with their owners in any location in the clubhouse.
