Walled Garden Swimming Pool
The Walled Garden’s 15m indoor children’s swimming pool is the perfect place for children to play and to learn, from babies in their parent’s arms through to confident young swimmers practicing their strokes. The depth ranges from 0.9m to 1.2m.
Next to the pool is a shallow water confidence play area with a maximum depth of 0.4m that has sprays, bubbles and waterfalls to entertain the youngest children.
Purpose-built for children, and with floor to ceiling windows looking out across the garden, the bright and airy pool area provides a wonderful setting for lessons and for family play time.
Opening times
The pool is open 9.00am to 8.00pm every day, with last entry at 7.00pm.
Changing
The changing facilities are located on the floor below reception and have been carefully designed for family use, with changing cubicles of various sizes. Lift access available is for buggies: please ensure you park your buggy in the designated zone. Nappy bins are provided in the baby changing facilities.
Supervision
Children aged up to 8 years require adult supervision in the pool. Please note that one adult may supervise up to two children.
Children aged 9 to 12 years require poolside adult supervision. One adult may supervise up to three children from the poolside.
For these purposes an ‘adult’ is anyone aged at least 17.
A lifeguard is on duty at all times during weekends. During weekdays, there is a lifeguard on duty when there are twelve people or more in the pool.
Booking
There are no pre-booked sessions on normal weekdays. However, with demand higher at weekends, during the school holidays and on Bank Holidays, we ask that you book in advance to be sure of access.
