General Information

All members are required to pre-book onto any class via the Club website or by telephoning or emailing Cedars Sports Reception.
All equipment will be provided however members are welcome to bring their own if they prefer.
Adequate cleaning supplies and hand sanitiser will be available in the studio.
Please consult a doctor before participating if you have medical complaints and inform the instructor of any medical conditions or health issues which may be affected.
The minimum age limit for the adult classes is 18 years old.
Classes and instructors are subject to change. Please note classes do not run over the Bank Holiday periods.
Cancellation charge: A 24 hour cancellation charge of £8.50 applies. Please note this charge also applies to no-shows.
Late arrivals will be refused entry to the class if the warm-up has already commenced.

Class descriptions

Ab and Stretch
A class designed to strengthen the abdominal muscles and core stability, this will be followed by a series of stretching exercises to improve flexibility and mobility.

Aquafit
An energetic class designed to burn calories, tone muscles and provide a good cardiovascular workout whilst protecting the joints. Be prepared to get wet! The class takes place in the shallow end of the pool. Mixed ability.

Aqua Rhythm
An aqua class with a difference, using Latino and Segafit music and moves to motivate and create a fun and energetic workout in the water. Mixed ability.

Beginners’ Pilates
Karen Peters is a Qualified Pilates Instructor who approaches Pilates from a therapeutic point of view with small classes to teach you the basic principles of Pilates.
In a few sessions you will really start to understand what Pilates is all about, and begin to feel the difference and notice the benefits.
For those who are new to Pilates or are recovering from injuries and want to ease back in gently.

Box Fit 45
A punchy cardio boxing and strength circuits class is coming soon, combining high-energy boxing drills with a variety of full-body exercises. This well-rounded workout is designed to challenge your whole body, making it perfect for anyone looking to boost fitness in a fun, dynamic way.

Circuit Training
A high energy circuit class designed to improve overall fitness and sporting performance.

DDMIX
This full-body aerobic workout, combines a wide range of dance styles with easy-to-follow steps. Each routine is inspired by national dances, different eras, or various genres, and lasts approximately two and a half minutes.

Fitsteps
This is an energetic, upbeat dance class, mixing the graceful steps of ballroom and the up tempo steps of Latin dances to create a fun filled workout.

HIIT – Similar to F45/ Insanity
A high energy circuit styled class with repetitions of short bursts of activity. A great chance for calorie burning and improving aerobic fitness. Class will include a wide variety of exercises including the use of bodyweight, weights and group cycle bikes.

HIIT – Tabata Circuits
The 20/10 workout – You will perform lots of short but very intense intervals of a wide variety of exercises. These are combined with minimal rest periods to keep the intensity and heart rate high throughout the workout. A great class for burning body fat, improving aerobic fitness and toning the whole body. A high energy, high intensity and high calorie burning class.

LISS (Low Intensity Steady State)
This is a low intensity cardio workout you can use daily for calorie burn and weight loss. It is an all standing, no jumping, steady state cardio workout. Low impact, knee friendly with uncomplicated moves.

Low Impact Circuits
An alternative to aqua in a Squash court including low impact cardio and body toning exercises.

New Body – Similar to Body Pump
A total body conditioning class, consisting of strength, toning and flexibility exercises to create a varied, comprehensive workout to suit you. Mixed ability.

Pilates
Pilates is a strengthening, toning and flexibility workout to improve posture and body shape. It is a great class for strengthening abdominal and back muscles and toning up the whole body. Mixed ability.

Power Pilates
An intermediate dynamic Pilates session to strengthen your core and tone the body. Not suitable for those new to Pilates or to those with injuries.

Ride and Reps
A combination of indoor cycling and strength exercises using weights and your bodyweight. In the class you will focus on building muscle strength and tone whilst also spending time on the saddle working on your strength, stamina and power in the lower body.

Studio Cycle – Similar to Spin/ Spinning
An indoor group cycling class for cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance.
It is a low impact workout avoiding stress on the joints. The instructor will lead the class but members can work at their own level and be in control of their own bike settings.

Sunday Circuits
A circuit class using equipment designed to improve your overall fitness. The circuit incorporates both strength and cardio exercises to create a challenging workout, with an emphasis on toning abdominals at the end of the session. No choreography involved.

Tai Chi – Similar to Body Balance
An ancient standing form of exercise tailored to the individual needs. This enables maximum flexibility, balance and co-ordination.

Total Body Conditioning
An energetic exercise class that includes cardiovascular training along with strength and toning exercises and ending with flexibility work for a total body workout. Mixed ability.

Yoga
Focuses on the structural alignment of the body through the development of asanas, and uses props such as belts and blocks to assist. It aims to unite the body, mind and spirit to help promote health and well-being. Suitable for beginners.

Zumba
A dance-based cardiovascular workout using Latin American music and dance moves to create a great workout. Burning calories has never been so much fun! Mixed ability.
