2019 Mercedes W10 EQ Power+

Lewis Hamilton took his historic sixth World Championship title in 2019 and, with teammate Valteri Bottas, also secured a record sixth Constructors title for Mercedes.

This fabulously successful Formula 1 car is powered by a Mercedes-AMG M10 EQ Power+, 1.6-litre, turbocharged, 90 degree V6, with hybrid electric motor generators connected to the rear wheels and the turbocharger. Both recover energy which is stored in a small but powerful battery, boosting power to the tune of 161bhp when the driver accelerates.

The Mercedes weighs just 734kg with driver, camera and ballast, which is around half the weight of a current MINI Cooper S. The power of 2019 Formula 1 cars is thought to be in the region of 1,000bhp, or more than five times that of the MINI with an engine of similar capacity. The mighty Mercedes W10 EQ Power+ cars marked the longest winning streak in Formula 1 history, with eight wins in a row.
