Sub Aqua

The Club’s Sub Aqua group is made up of experienced, newly qualified and eager to learn members. We arrange diving trips both within the UK and abroad, as well as speaker evenings and training courses.

Monthly meetings at Pall Mall

If you are interested in scuba diving or any other underwater sporting activities, come along to the Group’s monthly meeting which takes place on the first Tuesday of each month at Pall Mall.

We are always delighted to welcome new Club members to the Sub Aqua group. The group provides the opportunity to meet fellow divers, as well as to participate in both the group’s diving and social calendar.

You can join just as a Group member or join both the Group and the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) together. Members wishing to be active divers should also join the BSAC.

Membership of the Group is free to Club members, regardless of whether you are an active diver or would like to be a social member only. Snorkelers are also very welcome to join.

Try Dives
Diving is fun at any age so come and give it a go at a try dive, held several times throughout the year either at Pall Mall or Woodcote Park. Sessions are supervised by our diving officer, assisted by other qualified divers. All equipment is provided. Keep an eye on the noticeboards at both clubhouses or the Sub Aqua pages on this website for forthcoming dates.

Pool Practice Sessions
Pool practice sessions are a great opportunity for members to regain their confidence or simply practice diving techniques before a trip. Equipment is provided, together with qualified supervision.

BSAC Dive Courses
Learn to dive with the Club by undertaking a BSAC Ocean Diver Course or improve your skills on a Sports Diver or Dive Leader Course under the instruction of our diving officer.

Additional Courses
A number of other diving related courses are offered throughout the year and have, in the past, included freediving, life-saving and boat handling.
