PHILIP CORRICK MBE

Dear Members,

It is with great sadness that we have been informed of the passing of Philip Corrick, our former Executive Chef, following a long illness.

Philip dedicated nearly three decades of his life to the Club, joining us as Executive Chef at Pall Mall before going on to lead the kitchens across the Club. His contribution over that time was exceptional.

Philip was not only a gifted chef, but a deeply respected leader. He built and nurtured a team of over 90 chefs, guided by a simple but powerful belief that if you look after your people, they will look after the members. His commitment to developing others, giving them ownership, and fostering a strong, supportive culture defined his tenure and set a standard to which we continue to aspire.

Throughout his career Philip achieved a great deal. He played a central role in many of the Club’s most significant moments, including milestone anniversaries, and had the honour of cooking for the late Queen. Beyond the Club, he was a passionate advocate for the wider culinary profession, leading charitable initiatives and establishing restaurant exchanges that broadened opportunities for his team and new experiences for our members.

Despite these many achievements Philip remained characteristically humble. He often spoke of the Club with deep affection, recognising the support he received from colleagues, the Board, and the many teams he worked alongside. He took immense pride in his contribution to the Club.

Above all, Philip was devoted to his family. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.
