Emily and John’s MS Society London Marathon

A father supports his daughter with MS to run her second London Marathon

In 2025 Emily ran the London Marathon for the first time to mark ten years since her diagnosis with multiple sclerosis (MS). She is committed to crossing the finishing line again in 2026 alongside her father John.

MS is a condition that affects your central nervous system. It affects everyone differently and for Emily she has dealt with periods of relapses and remission of the last decade. Emily is very grateful to now be on an effective treatment which means she can live well with MS, however not everyone is able to access treatments.

Emily is Vice Chair of the MS Society, the UK’s largest charitable funder of MS research and part of the Royal Automobile Club Running Group.
