Club Mobile App
The Club’s app is available to download from the app store on your phone. Just search for ‘Royal Automobile Club’ and look for the Club badge on a blue background or use this link.
The app also includes a digital membership card which you can use instead of your plastic card when checking in at Club facilities or for charging items to your member account.
Other features include:
• notifications (if you allow them) so that we can quickly let you know about urgent or important matters
• a directory of members who opt in to being listed
• chat messaging with the clubhouse receptions
• easy-to-share information for your guests
• Club news and a Club calendar
How do I download the app?
It is available from the App Store on iPhones and the Play Store on Android phones. Search for ‘Royal Automobile Club’ and look for the Club logo on a blue background.
Once you have downloaded it you will see it listed on your phone screen and in your phone’s ‘Settings’ as ‘Royal Auto Club’, as our full name is too long.
How do I log in?
Use your membership number (just the number, no letters) and the same password as you use to log into the Club website.
If you don’t know what your password is, please go to the Club website and click on ‘Click here for more help, or to reset your password’ and follow the instructions to set up a new password on the website, then also use it to access the app.
Can I use the digital membership card instead of my plastic one?
Yes, you can use it to access the clubhouses and other facilities and to charge costs to your member account.
Members will still be provided with plastic cards as well unless they have opted out from doing so.
Unfortunately, it is not currently technically possible to add this to your Apple ‘wallet’ but we hope this feature will be available in the future.
What type of image can I use as my profile picture?
Most pictures are acceptable but we would strongly recommend that you upload a head-and-shoulders, passport style, photo. This will help staff (and members if you opt in to the Member Directory) to recognise you.
How long will it take for a profile picture to be approved and published?
Pictures should be published within an hour during normal office hours.
Will I receive notifications from the Club?
Please make sure you allow in-app notifications if prompted by the app to do so. You can change whether, and how, you receive notifications by going into ‘Settings’ on your phone, then ‘Notifications’, then the ‘Royal Auto Club’ app. We will only use notifications to provide you with important information.
When is the chat function available?
You can send a chat message at any time and the reception team at Pall Mall or Woodcote Park will reply between 8.30am and 6.00pm, seven days a week.
I sometimes see a message about the app using ‘myclub.co.uk’ to sign in and about the app and the website sharing information. What should I do?
On Apple devices this message appears when you transfer from the app to the Club website (for example, to make a bookings). If this appears please tap ‘Continue’. This is an Apple security feature which cannot be disabled.
How do I see members’ contact details in the Member Directory?
You can only see other members’ contact details if you have agreed to display your own phone number and/or email address. Go into ‘SETTINGS / Directory Settings’ on the app to change your settings for this.
How do I use the Guest Information section?
If you open either ‘Pall Mall Guest Information’ or ‘Woodcote Park Guest Information’ a pdf will appear with key information for visitors to the clubhouses. You can use the share button (the square with an up arrow in the top right of the screen) to send this pdf to your guest by email, message or WhatsApp.
Why can I only register a guest for Pall Mall and not for Woodcote Park?
We are trialling this function at Pall Mall, where most guests arrive. We hope to implement it at Woodcote Park in due course although that is more complicated as guests may arrive at a number of different locations around the estate.
When is the golf webcam available?
The webcam you can find in the GOLF section, which shows the weather on the Old Course, is available during daylight hours only.
Can I share other information, such as menus, with people?
Documents can be shared using email, message or WhatsApp if there is a share button (a square with an up arrow) in the top right of the screen.
How do I provide feedback on the app?
Please either use the form on the app (look for ‘APP FEEDBACK’ in the main menu) or email communications@royalautomobileclub.co.uk
