Woodcote Park is a gateway to some of the most beautiful countryside in the South East. Stand on Epsom Downs and look north and you will see a magnificent view across London, with the skyscrapers of The City glistening in the distance on a clear day. But turn around and look south and you will see that Woodcote Park sits at the edge of some beautiful countryside to explore on foot or by bike.
The 600 acres of the Epsom and Walton Downs, famous for the racecourse where The Derby is held, provide wide open spaces with numerous paths. The Downs are ideal for a gentle walk and are immediately next to the Captain’s Drive gate at Woodcote Park.
If you venture a little further south you will soon discover why it is reported that Surrey has more trees per square mile than any other county, as footpaths lead you through a variety of picturesque scenery.
These walking route guides include maps and detailed route descriptions, all starting and finishing at Woodcote Park.
