The roof of the swimming pool in Cedars Sports is in a serious condition and needs to be completely replaced to ensure that the pool remains safe to use.
Regrettably, this means that the pool will be closed for three months, from Wednesday 1 September until Monday 6 December. The remainder of Cedars Sports, including the gym and changing rooms, will continue to operate as usual.
While the Cedars Sports pool is closed, members will be able to use the pool at Nuffield Health in Leatherhead free of charge. Access will be managed via Cedars Sports Reception and the online booking system on this website.
Please be aware that members must fill in and complete the Nuffield Health PAR-Q form prior to their first visit which you can access here (Members can leave the contact method blank but will need to write ‘Royal Automobile Club‘ as the company).
Nuffield Health, Leatherhead
Monday to Thursday: 6:30am to 10.00pm
Friday: 6:30am to 9.00pm
Weekends: 8.00am to 8.00pm
Some parking is available on site and additional parking is available at the Swan Shopping Centre, which is a short walk away.
Use of the Nuffield pool must be booked by 7.30pm on the day before you wish to swim. Places are limited and will work on a first come first served basis.
It will not be possible to turn up and gain access without a booking.
The first sessions available will be on Wednesday 1 September and bookings for Wednesday 1 to Wednesday 8 September will open on Wednesday 25 August. Thereafter bookings for each day will open 14 days in advance.
Cancelling a Booking
Please email or call (01372 229266) Cedars Sports Reception as soon as you are aware that you need to cancel a bookings, so that your place can be provided to another member if it is a time of high demand.
Upon Arrival at Nuffield Leatherhead
When you visit the Nuffield pool for the first time, you will be required to hand in a completed ‘Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire’. These are available from Cedars Sports Reception.
Upon arrival, please check in at Reception by showing your Royal Automobile Club membership card. The Team will check you against the booked list and provide you with a temporary Nuffield Health membership card, which will provide you with access to all the facilities including the pool.
Please note that towels are not provided by Nuffield Health and you must take your own. The lockers are electronic and do not require a coin.
When Leaving Nuffield Leatherhead
Please return the temporary Nuffield Health membership card to the reception desk.
If you find you have accidentally taken the card home with you, please contact Cedars Sports so they can update Nuffield arrange for the card to be returned.
