This is a Group A Tom Walkinshaw Racing Rover Vitesse. Built in January 1986, chassis Number 019 is painted in full 1986 Bastos/Texaco livery and carries the Number 8, together with driver names ‘Tom Walkinshaw’ and ‘Win Percy’.
The Rover Vitesse was run in all 14 of the FIA European Touring Car Cup (ETCC) rounds in 1986. It was driven almost exclusively by Walkinshaw and Percy with the exception of round 8 at the Österreichring, where Armin Hahne replaced Walkinshaw, and round 9 at Spa, where Eddy Joosen joined as third driver.
The Rover won at Monza and Donington Park, finished 2nd at Circuito del Jarama and Circuito do Estoril, 3rd at Misano Circuit, Silverstone and Circuit Zolder, and 4th at the Hockenheimring and the Nürburgring.
