In 2018, the American racing team Haas Formula 1 completed their most successful season since joining the championship in 2016. Competing in the Haas VF-18 car designed by Italian manufacturer Dallara, the team finished fifth in the constructors’ championship with a total of 93 points. Kevin Magnussen led the way for the team finishing ninth in the drivers’ championship on 56 points while team-mate Romain Grosjean was placed in fourteenth, with 37 points. Notably, the Frenchman achieved the team’s best ever finish with a fourth-place finish at the Austrian Grand Prix.
Despite missing out on fourth place with just 29 points, Haas secured a double points finish in the final two races in Brazil and Abu Dhabi to finish a record-breaking season for the team with their highest total of points: 93.
On Thursday 7 February the Haas Team launched their new 2019 car livery in the Pall Mall rotunda. The livery is composed of a striking black and gold colour scheme as a result of a multi-year title sponsorship agreement with the new team sponsors.
Drivers Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean were at the Club to unveil the new livery, with Team Principal Gunther Steiner, and Rich Energy, CEO of William Storey also in attendance.
The vehicle in the rotunda incorporates some of the design changes which will appear in the new VF-19 car due to appear in time for the start of pre-season testing on Monday 18 February.
