The Vantage GT8 is a driver-focused, track-orientated version of Aston Martin’s most successful Vantage model. It weighs in 100 kg lighter than the standard car and features carbon fibre panels, aero enhancements, polycarbonate rear and side windows and carbon fibre race seats.
According to Aston Martin’s marketing literature, the Vantage GT8 has an intensity and agility born out of the heat of competition. Sculpted using lightweight carbon fibre and shaped by the quest for ultimate aerodynamic efficiency, it is powered by a race-proven V8 engine. Limited to a production run of just 150 coupés worldwide, the Vantage GT8 captures the unalloyed thrills of competition while delivering a truly authentic sports car experience.
The example displayed here is unique in being the only supercharged Vantage GT8. It produces 610 bhp with a mighty 700 Nm of torque as opposed to the 440 bhp and 490 Nm of torque of a regular model. This power upgrade is achieved by the fitment of a bespoke carbon fibre inlet manifold TVS supercharger with GMR’s water injection system, along with remapped factory software, bespoke exhaust headers and catalytic converters.
This car won the annual Goodwood Road Racing Club’s Vehicle Display in 2017 as well as coming second at the Aston Martin Owners Club’s Concours Pride of Ownership in St Athan the same year.
