Spring Breakfast Drive-In 2017

Last weekend’s Spring Breakfast Drive-In was a sure sign that the British summer has officially arrived.

The first of three Drive-Ins this year, the Club was delighted to welcome more than 80 cars to the Cedar Lawn, where members and their guests could enjoy a leisurely breakfast before viewing the impressive line-up of vehicles.

The Drive-In saw a range of vintage, classic and modern motors grace the Lawn, from a 1954 Bentley R-type, 1995 Aston Martin DB7 and a Bristol 406S, to a 2004 Land Rover Defender 90 TD5, a 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena and a 2017 Caterham Seven.

Throughout the event, attendees were also invited to pay a visit to the award-winning Motor House, where they could get a closer look at the Club’s rich heritage fleet.

We enjoyed a good three hours of glorious sunshine before the heavens opened – just as members were beginning to depart; perhaps we should host Breakfast Drive-Ins more often…
