To celebrate the German theme of this year’s London Motor Week, Club Executive Chef Philip Corrick collaborated with two of the UK’s top German chefs on a special menu for the Partners’ Dinner on Thursday 3 November.
Key partners and sponsors of the Bonhams London to Brighton Veteran Car Run supported by Hiscox enjoyed a three-course menu featuring dishes from the guest chefs and Club chefs Philip Corrick and Ben Gielen.
Anton Edelmann, previously Chef de Cuisine at the Savoy Hotel, has written several cookery books and makes regular appearances on television. Holger Jackisch, once a Sous Chef of Anton’s, has worked as Executive Chef in some of the finest hotels around the world and is currently Chef de Cuisine at the Savoy. Similar to the Club, the Savoy is an iconic brand steeped in history. Philip shared that it felt ‘very fitting to bring Anton and Holger together, to deliver tonight’s dinner with our team’.
The first course of River Isar smoked baby eel and dessert of orange quark soufflé were both signature dishes that Anton and Holger have cooked over the years at the Savoy. The main dish featured roast fillet of Goodwood Estate Home Farm beef, another iconic motoring venue, and the cheeses served after dinner were also from Goodwood Estate, produced by their master cheesemaker.
