A celebration of motoring’s past, present and future awaited the visitors to Regent Street today, as the free-to-view Motor Show promised a little something for everyone.
The show’s attractions included displays of cars from the dawn of motoring, classic cars of yesteryear and modern day machines, including electric cars and plug-in hybrids. Not forgetting musical fun from the West End Kids.
Firmly established as the country’s most popular automotive spectacle, with thousands of spectators gathering in London’s prestigious shopping street, the show’s centrepiece was a display of more than 100 veteran cars, celebrating 125 years of motoring, all of which took part in the impressive International Concours d’Elegance, judged by celebrity names Edd China and Alan Titchmarsh.
Keeping in theme with this year’s Veteran Car Run, which celebrates French motoring in 2017, members and guests visiting the Club were treated to several performances by the Can-Can Girls in the Pall Mall rotunda, having been greeted by staff dressed in Edwardian attire.
