Club President's Annual Visit

On Tuesday 14 February, the Club was honoured to welcome our President, HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO.

During his visit, Prince Michael received his annual President’s briefing from Tom Purves, the Club’s Chairman, Joe Greenwell, Chairman of the RAC Foundation, and Alan Gow, Chairman of the Motor Sports Association. Several of the Club’s Vice Presidents and Stewards were also present, enabling a productive discussion about promoting the best interests of motorists and motorsport.
 
His Royal Highness also presented certificates to Club Employees and Managers of the Year and long service awards. Recipients included Gilberto Nunes, Pall Mall Employee of the Year, Allan Poole, Woodcote Park Employee of the Year, and Jane Holmes, first recipient of the Peter Foubister Spirit of the Club award. Prince Michael also presented long service awards to Betrand Carmillet, Head Waiter in the Great Gallery, for 30 years’ service, and Luigi Barisonz, Banqueting Waiter, for 35 years.
 
Prince Michael was then given a tour of the newly-reopened Great Gallery by Chief Operating Officer, Daniel Peirera, who discussed the recent refurbishment works and presented him to Philip Corrick, Executive Head Chef, Andrew Salvadurai, Great Gallery Manager and Diederik Buyze, Food and Beverage Manager.
