Next month’s Wales Rally GB (3-6 October) marks the 75th running of Britain’s premier event of its genre. To mark this significant milestone, a special display has been organised together with Autocar magazine – one of the driving forces behind the inaugural Royal Automobile Club Rally of 1932.
The showcase will be one of the highlights at the Dayinsure Oulton Park Stage, the opening timed speed test of this year’s World Championship event on Thursday 3 October.
The Autocar 75th Rally GB display will include cars rallied by Roger Clark, Colin McRae and Richard Burns in period as well as an example of the Lanchester 15/18 which Colonel A. H. Loughborough (pictured above) drove to victory in the very first RAC Rally.
Tickets for Oulton Park must be purchased in advance and are priced at just £25. Kids go free.
