The first Saturday in November sees Regent Street, one of London’s busiest shopping zones, transformed into a remarkable free-to-view motor show organised by the Royal Automobile Club. Traffic is banned and the roadway is filled with displays of all manner of cars, old and new.
The centre section is given over to the annual Veteran Car Run Concours d’Elegance where around 100 of the best veterans and their crews – many in period costume – vie for top honours. Displayed over the rest of the ‘mile of style’ are classic cars, racing cars, motorbikes and supercars. Leading manufacturers also have their latest models on show, with an emphasis on low emission motoring.
The Regent Street Motor Show regularly attracts more than 400,000 visitors ready to enjoy the cars and do a spot of early Christmas shopping.
Full information about the event can be found on the Regent Street Motor Show website.
