The Daimler Company had introduced its first four-cylinder car in 1899, however by 1903 the range of models available was reduced to the 22hp model and the 14hp version displayed here. Both models were available with a choice of wheelbase lengths and different types of standard bodywork. A complete 14hp car cost £750.
By 1903 the radiator depicted the Daimler hallmark. It was also fitted with two water tanks either side of the radiator. Daimler’s were favoured by King Edward VII and as a result many aristocrats also purchased cars from the company.
