Six Everests, One Ride, One Reason

This summer I am riding the Tour De France (Grande Loop) for charity, covering 3,500 km, across 21 consecutive days, climbing 54,450 m (nearly six Everests). In terms of effort, this is the equivalent to running 91 marathons back to back.

It is for a great cause called the William Wates Memorial Trust, which supports disadvantaged young people aged 5–19, providing practical, life-changing opportunities and training. This resonates back to the young soldiers I trained in the armed forces who had so much potential that just needed to be channeled the right way.

Date of fundraising activity: 26 June to 21 July 2026

Charity Name: William Wates Memorial Trust
