We hope that you have enjoyed your Junior Membership and as such, the Club will be writing to you in late July about your Junior Membership of the Club which, as your 18th birthday falls during 2016, will come to an end on 31 December.
An application form will be enclosed if you would now like to apply for Full Membership. We hope that you will wish to do so, but we do remind you that this is not an automatic process and that the Elections Committee interviews all candidates under the age of 21 whether they have been Junior Members or not.
We are sometimes asked why the Club has this policy, given that many Junior Members will already have been enjoying the Club’s facilities and participating in Club life for a number of years. The reason is that as you are now applying to join the Club in your own right and for the future, rather than as a Family Member, the Club is interested in you as an individual and as a prospective adult member of the Club. Accordingly, we ask you to tell us as much as possible about yourself and your interests – completing your form in person rather than allowing others to do it for you. This gives the Elections Committee a good starting point for discussion when they meet you at your interview, and of course you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about Full Membership of the Club.
We ask that you return the application form - completed by you and your Proposer and Seconder - as soon as possible and by Friday 26 August, so as to allow your application to be processed and your interview to be arranged. This will help you to continue to use the clubhouses without interruption. Successful applicants are invited to take up their Full Membership as of 1 January 2017.
The Membership Office will be glad to help you with any queries about the process or about your own circumstances, such as gap year travel, which might restrict your availability for your interview. They may be contacted on 01372 229600 or via email at email@example.com.
If you have not received your letter by 1 August, please contact the Membership Department on 01372 229600 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

This area is open from 8.00am–8.00pm, seven days a week and is aimed at 13–17 year old Junior Members. A syndicate room is available in the main clubhouse for members who wish to use a computer, laptop or host small business meetings.
