Cycling

The Cycling Group organise regular on road and off-road rides throughout the year with all abilities are catered for. There are shorter, café rides for casual and leisure riders and longer forays into the Surrey Hills for experienced riders.

Monthly Club Open Rides

Held for members covering a range of abilities, these take place on the first Sunday of each month. The rides change monthly.

Road Rides

A Programme including Developing/Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced and Advanced Rides will be published.

Occasional Weekday Leisure Rides

These leave Cedar Sports Reception at 10.30am. They are at a more leisurely pace than other Club rides, no more than 9-10mph, and a café stop for coffee and cake will be a must!

The Cycling Group uses WhatsApp for General Communications and specific types of Rides.

The General Group gives general information and general notification of rides.

The Leisure Group provides the latest ride dates and information specifically for the more leisurely weekday leisure rides.

The Off Road Group is used to communicate information and updates on all Off Road Rides

– WhatsApp – RAC Dev/Int Road rides group

The Developing/Intermediate Group is used to communicate information and updates on Developing/Intermediate Rides: This level involves riding for 2 Hours plus at Average Speed 12-14mph (19-22km/h) with some climbs.

The Intermediate/Advanced Group is used to communicate information and updates on Intermediate/Advanced Rides: This level involves riding for 3 Hours plus at Average Speed 14-16mph (22-26km/h) with significant climbs.

The Advanced Group is used to communicate information and updates on Advanced Rides: This level involves riding for 4 Hours plus at Average Speed 18 mph + (28km/h+) with extensive climbing.
