The London League

The London Backgammon League is a friendly competition between various private members’ clubs across the capital. It is a healthy combination of sociability and competitiveness that caters for players of all levels. It also yields an opportunity to enjoy reciprocal hospitality at the members’ clubs taking part.

It was founded by the late Edward Baliszewski, former chairman of the Royal Automobile Club’s Backgammon Committee and the Edward Baliszewski London League Backgammon Trophy is presented to the winning club’s captain each year at the Club’s annual Backgammon Dinner in Pall Mall.

Information on fixtures, results and statistics is available on the London Backgammon League website. If you are interested in representing the Club in the League, please email
