The ladder competition is designed to give you the opportunity of playing regularly either by meeting your opponent at a mutually convenient place like our clubhouses or online via the backgammon galaxy platform.
Challenge any player up to five positions above you at any time to a seven point match. If you win then you replace your opponent in the ladder and they drop down one position. If you lose, you drop one position. If the challenged player wins, they go up one place.
All matches must be completed within a week of the challenge. If they are not then the challenger automatically replaces the player they have challenged.
You can challenge as many times as you like, but you must complete one challenge before issuing another. You can only challenge members above you in the ladder and not below.
To join the ladder competition, to see the listings or to obtain contact details if you don’t have them please email Ian Stuart at email@example.com.
The competition ends at the end of April 2021 and the 16 top players will then play a knockout competition to become the ladder champion.
The winner of the 2020 ladder competition was Ezra Ellis.
