Dress Regulations at Pall Mall
The pride which members feel for their Pall Mall clubhouse is reflected in the appropriateness of dress within the building. In general men wear tailored business suit, jacket and trousers together with a collared shirt and tie (no cravats) throughout the clubhouse. Ladies dress with appropriate formality. All respect the spirit of these rules.

Smart casual dress may be worn:

Sportswear is worn by members and guests only in the sports area and when going directly to or from the clubhouse entrance and the sports area. Members and guests deposit all outer street garments, briefcases, sports holdalls and equipment not for immediate use, packages and other items in the cloakroom on the lower ground floor.

The dress code for sporting activities is displayed in all changing rooms and in the Frigidarium.

The dress regulations do not apply to any person wearing their national dress or the uniform or costume appropriate to their office or vocation.

Definitions: Smart casual – Men: No jacket or tie is required. Tailored long or short sleeved open-neck shirts and tailored trousers including chinos. Long or short-sleeved v-neck or crew neck pullovers are acceptable provided they are worn over a collared shirt. Roll-neck and turtleneck sweaters are also acceptable. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Women: are again asked to dress with commensurate formality. Denim is only acceptable when moving directly between the clubhouse entrance and the sports area. Sportswear – shorts, T-shirts, sweat shirts, polo shirts, short-sleeved shirts, plain rugby shirts (without large logos or inscriptions), tracksuits and leggings.
