Club highlights 2011

Founded in 1897 with the aim of encouraging the development of motoring in Britain, today the Royal Automobile Club is one of London’s finest private members' clubs, combining over 100 years of luxury and tradition with exceptional facilities and outstanding service. Members enjoy unlimited access to two superb clubhouses; the Pall Mall clubhouse, in the very heart of London, contains a unique range of accommodation, dining and sporting facilities, including what is arguably the finest swimming pool in London. The Woodcote Park clubhouse is set in 350 acres of Surrey parkland, complete with two 18 hole golf courses, together with a variety of other sports facilities, dining and accommodation.

Olympics & Paralympics

Both Pall Mall and Woodcote Park, so very close to the 2012 sporting action, will be playing host to an array of Olympic themed activities, exhibitions and events during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Keep an eye out in both clubhouses and on the website for further details.

One of the highlights of Club membership is access to 'Club Life' an extensive arts, culture, motoring and business events programme at both clubhouses. Members looking for a day trip or night out can choose from sporting events, guest speakers, theatre, ballet, live music, museum and gallery visits and of course fantastic gourmet lunches and dinners.

Annual Football Dinner with Chris Coleman

The Club are proud to present Chris Coleman, newly appointed Wales manager, as this year's annual football dinner speaker. Chris, a 32 capped former defender, and former manager of Fulham, Real Sociedad and Coventry City has also been a commentator for ITV at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and for Sky Sports. Hosted by Alan Smith, Chris will be speaking about his career and newly appointed role, followed by Q & A. Taking place on Thursday 19 April at Pall Mall, the price will be £80.00 for members and £92.00 for guests.
