Yamaha Off-Road Day

The Club’s second Yamaha Off-Road Day took place in rather less threatening conditions than 2009. Our day came right at the end of their season and whilst cold, the rain held off and we enjoyed a sunny day. Geraint's son, Dylan took control this year and one got the impression he was looking forward to a day of action. He explained that the previous week had been an unusual one, having been taken-up almost entirely by filming for a BBC celebrity challenge programme, and one got the impression those were long days. Mid-morning we split into three groups of varying bravery and daring, depending on how courageous one was feeling. Your author decided to opt for the middle-ground, nursing some bruised ribs from an earlier tumble. Nevertheless all had a great day as the course is informal and runs at the pace you select. You can be daring and intrepid or cruise around enjoying the scenery. One person even enjoyed it so much he promptly went out and bought a bike. If you are contemplating joining us - beware it is addictive. You have been warned.

We are considering running a day in the Spring, please get in touch if you are interested.
